Mr Norris qualified in Bristol and acquired his post graduate general surgical training in Chester, Cambridge and Liverpool. Specialist neurosurgical training was in Nottingham, London and super specialist cerebrovascular training Toronto (Ontario) for 1 year.

Cerebrovascular surgery (aneurysms, AVMs, etc); Brain and spinal cord pathologies (tumours, hydrocephalus, shunts, trigeminal neuralgia, etc); Spinal column (cervical thoracic, lumbar) procedures e.g. microdiscectomy, laminectomy, artificial disc replacements, fusion procedures but with emphasis on non operative management where possible; Pituitary and complex anterior skull base tumour surgery; Head injury - both operative management in neurocritical care; Counselling screening for cerebral aneurysms in high risk families
