About me

Hi!
I’m Freya

I am an experienced Clinical Psychologist who practices in Balham, South London. I recently began offering remote sessions as an alternative to face-to-face to give clients more choice. I provide a trusting, understanding and non-judgemental place for people to bring topics which impact upon their mood.

I work with people who have a wide range of mental health difficulties. Sometimes they have some idea about how this relates to an experience growing up. I am particularly interested to work with people who have these problems:

• ‘imposter syndrome’
• comparing yourself with other people
• putting other people ahead of yourself
• having issues with esteem or confidence
• striving for perfection
• issues connecting with other people
• difficulties with expressing your needs

My special interest is in the mind, body and behaviour connection. I think it’s important to work with the whole person, this means considering their current environment and where they grew up. I tailor each client’s therapy plan according to their goals. I have trained and have expertise in many therapeutic models, including: Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy; Compassion Focused Therapy; Systemic therapy; Narrative approaches; Advanced Integrative Therapy; and Motivational Interviewing, which I draw ideas from.

I currently work for corporate clients within their health centres. I am the Clinical Director of Three Psychology, which focuses on men’s mental health. Before this I worked in neurorehabilitation and eating disorders.

Please do get in touch if you have any questions or if you want to work together. I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (PYL36533).
