About me

I am a Consultant ENT Surgeon with over 20 years experience managing a wide variety of ear nose & throat conditions. I always aim to give my patients a balanced view about their best treatment options.
I trained in Ear, Nose and Throat surgery in Oxford and Manchester. In 1995 I undertook a fellowship at the University of Illinois, Chicago, and completed my doctorate thesis a year later. In 1998 I was appointed as a Consultant ENT Surgeon at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield, before returning as a Consultant to the University Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at the Manchester Royal Infirmary in January 2004.
My expertise has been recognised with the award of an Honorary Clinical Professorship at Edge Hill University.
I teach and lecture about this field of surgery in the UK and Internationally, and I am past President of the ENT Facial Plastic Surgery Society, and President Elect of the Section of Laryngology & Rhinology of the Royal Society of Medicine.
