About me

Mr Ratnakumar is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with practising privileges at Spire Roding and Hartswood Hospitals. Offering specialist private knee surgery, hip surgery and general orthopaedic surgery.

He also has special interest in sports injuries of knees and has treated patients with sports injuries.

Mr Ratnakumar trained in Sri Lanka, Peradnya Medical College (Ceylon) and under took his orthopaedic training the UK and Canada.

He has been appointed orthopaedic consultant in 2000 in Rotherham District Hospital South Yorkshire and moved to Barking NHS trust in 2003.

Mr Ratnakumar also offers the latest knee replacement surgery and knee ligament surgery. He has a special interest in Navigated total knee replacement and custom made knee replacements.

Mr Ratnakumar updates his knowledge in new developments of Orthopaedics by attending conferences and training.

Mr Ratnakumar has performed in the last 12 months more than 50 knee and hip replacements in Spire Roding and Hartswood Hospitals.
