About me

I have 30 years of experience in psychiatry and was appointed a consultant in 1994. I provide care to patients both in the community and in hospital and have worked in a crisis/home treatment team, day hospital and medical wards.

I am dedicated, thorough, friendly and flexible in approach, working to offer a package of treatment that is responsive to the needs of the individual patient. I am able to travel and can make home visits (a chaperone must be available for female patients).

I always provide the patient with a copy of my clinical letters and reports.

I am a general adult psychiatrist with 30 years' experience of diagnosing and treating: anxiety; depression; mania; hypomania; schizophrenia; delusional disorders; other psychotic disorders; alcohol problems; drug problems; addictions; post-traumatic stress disorder; PTSD; conversion disorders; hysteria; somatisation; unexplained medical symptoms; personality disorders;

I write medico-legal reports for: family law; child custody; parenting; care proceedings; domestic violence; divorce; employment; ancillary relief; employment tribunals; bullying; work stress; housing; disability discrimination; DDA; Equality Act; personal injury; medical negligence; criminal proceedings; Mental Health Act; criminal injuries compensation; CICA; insurance claims.
