About me

Graduated with Honors from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, specialty trained in Internal Medicine and Ophthalmology in New York City. Corneal fellowship at the University of Minneapolis. Recruited to lead and develop a corneal transplant unit at East Grinstead, W. Sussex, now nationally and internationally recognised. In 1996, founded Centre for Sight a high end private eye hospital with bespoke built premises and high technology. Closely collaborates with the ophthalmic industry in developing and guiding new innovation. Founding Chief medical editor of Cataract and Refractive Surgery Today - Europe and has served on numerous boards and committees of national and international organizations including the European and American Societies of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ESCRS ASCRS) and the Cornea Society.
