About me

Mr Robert C Stuart FRCS (Gen Surg) MCh, has been a Consultant General Surgeon since 1995 in Glasgow and since 2007 has worked in full-time independent practice at BMI Ross Hall Hospital in Glasgow. Mr Stuart specialises in Upper Gastro-intestinal Surgery and weight loss surgery (Bariatric Surgery). Being in full-time private practice allows Mr Stuart to be available throughout the week for emergency and elective care. Mr Stuart is a member of AUGIS, BOMSS, EAES, IFSO and ISG. He is a specialist trainer in EAES advanced laparoscopic surgery courses at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. Mr Stuart is on the Medical Advisory Committee at Ross Hall Hospital and chairs the Scientific Advisory Committee for the Oesophageal Cancer Fund in Ireland. Mr Stuart was Chairman for the Scottish Intercollegiate Guideline Network for oesophageal and gastric cancer guidelines.
