About me

I am a Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic surgeon who specialises in the management of disorders of the knee and hip. My clinical practice includes the treatment of sports injuries, ligament injuries, arthritis and patella instability.

I undertook my medical educational at the University of St. Andrews, University of Manchester and my specialist Orthopaedic training within the North West of England. After completing my training and becoming a Fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons, I undertook two fellowships to further my expertise in the management of knee and hip disorders. The first was at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital where the focus was on joint preservation and the second at Wrightington Hospital where the focus was on joint replacement.

My practice is evidence based and patient specific. I think it is important for patients to be fully informed about the options that are available for the management of their symptoms and to tailor their treatment accordingly.

Areas of interest

Knee preservation surgery including osteotomy around the knee; Soft tissue knee surgery including ligament reconstruction and meniscal surgery; Knee Chondral regeneration; Knee arthroplasty including both partial and total knee replacemnt; Hip arthroplasty.
