About me

I have always had a great interest in counselling which led me on to starting my counselling career in 2006.

I work as a Person-Centred counsellor within Catterick Garrison, Richmond and surrounding areas. Person-centred counselling empowers the client to understand and make sense of their problems, without feeling judged, within a confidential and safe environment. As well as face to face appointments I also offer online and telephone therapy.

I have worked for the past 5 years with veterans, serving, and families of those whom have served/are serving in the military. During this time I have worked with individuals with complex PTSD, trauma and other mental health conditions.
Working in this field has helped me to understand the military ethos, the camaraderie between soldiers and the effects of transition out of the military.

As well as my military experience I have also worked with a range of clients, in a range of settings including; NHS, survivors of domestic abuse, those with depression, anxiety, relationships problems and those who are bereaved, just to name a few.
