About me

I am a Counselling Psychologist based in the Southborough/Tunbridge Wells area within easy reach of the surrounding towns of Sevenoaks, Tonbridge, and Groombridge. I have over 20 years experience in the NHS as a Counselling Psychologist and Clinical Lead of a large NHS Counselling service working with adults experiencing a range of concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement, life and work related stress.

Things that happen to us in life are not always easy to cope with. From time to time everyone experiences difficulties that threaten their emotional and psychological wellbeing. I focus on helping people to live more effective and fulfilled lives and overcome the challenges they are experiencing. Counselling Psychology is concerned with the whole person in all areas of their psychological functioning such as feeling and thinking, behaviour, motivation and relationships. The emphasis is on personal development and growth and working to resolve the issues that may be causing distress.

I offer a safe and confidential space in which to discuss the challenges you are facing. Always viewing you - the client - as the expert on your life, experiences and their impact on your wellbeing, I will work with you to develop your, and my understanding of your current difficulties. Together we will explore skills to help you in overcoming the problems you are facing and to make any changes that can support you in moving forward with your life in a manner that is right for you.

I aim to provide a calm, empathic and non-judgemental space in which to listen, reflect and explore. I am able to offer both brief and longer-term therapy.
