About me
Based conveniently in central Glasgow in a multi-purpose building, I offer psychological therapy to adults drawing from core training in CBT, process-experiential/person-centered therapy and psychodynamic psychotherapy. I have additional training in working with disordered eating and am currently training in Intensive Short-term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP).
Recognising that each of us is unique,
I view therapy as a highly individualised process that aims to help us better understand how our own internal world may be impacting our external problems. The difficulties we experience in life can be highly impactful on how we see ourselves, how we relate to ourselves and others and on our own wellbeing. We can become stuck in unhelpful patterns of behaviour, trapped in our own internal conflict or afraid of/detached from our own emotions. As such, focus is given to gaining a compassionate understanding of why our lives are as they are and on processing any blocked emotion that is preventing change.
Chartered with the British Psychological Society and registered with the HCPC, I have 6 years experience of working both in the NHS and in private healthcare with adults experiencing a wide range of mental health issues.
