About me

Consultant Hepatologist and Gastroenterologist at the Royal Cornwall Hospital. I have over 20 year’s extensive experience in Hepatology, gastroenterology and endoscopy. I trained in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Centre for Digestive diseases, Leeds General Infirmary, the Regional liver transplant Unit, St James University Hospital in Leeds and the Institute of Liver Studies, King’s College in London. I am an experienced endoscopist and perform gastroscopy, colonoscopy and ERCP. My clinical interests include complications of cirrhosis, community hepatology, viral hepatitis and drug induced liver injury. I am a member of the British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG) and committee member of the BSG liver section.
I have published more than 40 original papers and reviews in official and peer-reviewed journals, together with contributions to a number of hepatology related book chapters. I trained and qualified from St Thomas’s Medical School in London.
