About me

Dr Rashmi Chakraborty is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, who has expertise and experience in diagnosing and treating a range of mental health problems, including Anxiety, Depression, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder,Self Harm, Sleeping Difficulties, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), and Chronic Motor and Vocal Tics Disorder. She is also experienced in diagnosing Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and managing associated problems, such as anxiety and/or challenging behaviour. She has a special interest in Neurodevelopmental Disorders, namely ADHD, ASD, and Tourette’s Syndrome. Rashmi qualified as a doctor in India. She moved to the UK in 1998 and completed her entire psychiatry training here, initially in Sheffield, where she qualified as a Psychiatrist, and then in Oxford, where she specialised as a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. From 2011 to 2019, she was a consultant in the Buckinghamshire Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, four years of which she was the Clinical Lead for the Neurodevelopmental Pathway. She now works solely in the Independent Sector.
