About me

Mr Anthony Stock is the senior Consultant Gynaecologist at Milton Keynes Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and is the Clinical Director of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He has been a consultant at the hospital for 16 years, with 30 years of medical experience since qualification. He has been the Lead Clinician for Gynaecological Cancer, Colposcopy, Labour Ward, Infertility, Feto-Maternal Medicine and Obstetric and Gynaecological Ultrasound.

Mr Stock is a UK graduate, having qualified at Westminster Medical School, University of London. He undertook training in obstetrics and gynaecology in East Anglia, at University College London and Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham. He spent three years working as a medical academic at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He has published articles in scientific journals across a diverse range of subjects including patient safety, adverse effects of drugs used in clinical practice and the use of computers in medicine to analyse complex biological data.

Specific areas of expertise include the investigation and management of gynaecological cancers, the management of heavy periods and abnormal vaginal bleeding, endometriosis and utero-vaginal prolapse. Mr Stock has extensive experience of outpatient hysteroscopy, endometrial ablation under both local and general anaesthesia and laparoscopic surgery.

Mr Stock has an interest in Reproductive Medicine and is the Consultant Gynaecologist to Care Milton Keynes, part of the Care Fertility group. Along with his team he provides treatments including assessment of fertility, ovulation induction and IVF.
