About me
In response to the current COVID-19 situation in the UK, I would like to assure you that I am following government guidelines and all of my therapy practice is online using Zoom or Skype. I will continue to offer counselling whilst I am fit and healthy if that changes I will let you know. I acknowledge this is a difficult time for many - all of us are affected by the current climate, and I am keenly aware of the challenges many are facing.
Welcome, I am currently in private practice and enjoy teaching at The Gestalt Centre London. My passion lies in raising body awareness and supporting others to work through their unfinished business. I work with my clients in a safe and supportive environment that is not based on assumptions and fosters a spirit of curiosity and openness.
I bring to my practice over 10 years’ experience which includes working in and managing local counselling community organisation, social services and youth counselling. My key skills are to help create meaning when life hits you with a ‘curve ball’. I am committed to providing person centred support which empowers individual's awareness and growth. There is no fixed method or one size fits all solution. Gestalt is about working in the present but does not exclude the past.
As a Gestalt therapist, I enjoy looking at patterns, stuck loops of behaviour and I believe by raising self-awareness, this can lead to having more choices and thriving in life. Gestalt focuses on noticing body sensations and tensions and by raising awareness of the body we can become better equipped to self-care. I am a BACP Accredited and a member of BAATN (Black, African and Asian Therapy Network) and follow their core values and code of ethics.
