About me
Dr Berntsen is a Counselling Psychologist and Neuropsychologist with a background in cognitive neuroscience. She provides assessments and treatments for individuals of all ages and range of concerns.
Her therapeutic approach includes solution focused and short-term interventions such as CBT and mindfulness, and longer term interventions for attachment and trauma.
She has worked for CAMHS neurodevelopmental service, adult inpatient rehabilitation and recovery services focusing on EUPD, complex trauma and psychotic disorders, and private practice working with individual of all ages and with a broad range of challenges.
She also provides specialist treatments for the consequences of stroke, traumatic brain injury and neurodegenerative disorders using brain stimulation (TMS and tACS), quantitative electroencephalogram (qEEG) and EEG Neurofeedback.
