About me

I chose to study psychology because I’m fascinated by how different we all are from each other, at the same time as having something fundamental in common that lets us empathise with each other’s experience. Each person’s situation is different, and what suits one person may not work for another. As a therapist, my job isn’t to tell people what to do, but to collaborate with them to find and implement the solutions that work best for them. I believe in using evidence-based therapies in a flexible, responsive way, to help each individual person to make meaningful changes in their life. It is a privilege to do this work, and I am continually impressed by the ways in which people are able to change their lives for the better. However complex or long-term the issues, it is always possible to make a difference.
