About me

After completing the Wales Trauma and Orthopaedic Registrar training programme, I spent a year as a foot and ankle fellow to Dr Harvinder Bedi in Melbourne, learning minimally invasive foot surgery. I subsequently completed a fellowship with Professor James Calder at the Fortius Clinic, London and Mr Lloyd Williams' London Orthopaedic Clinic with a specific focus on the management of elite athletes with foot and ankle injuries. I therefore gained further exposure to minimally invasive surgical techniques.
I was appointed as a Consultant at Wrexham Maelor Hospital, North Wales in 2018. In addition to providing an elective foot and ankle service I also work as an orthopaedic trauma surgeon and am involved in the on call service.
I completed a higher degree in research (MD) during my Orthopaedic training. I have published over 20 papers in peer-reviewed journals and have contributed to several foot and ankle surgical textbooks. I regularly review papers for several journals. I have a keen interest in evaluating treatments with a focus on quality improvement and patient reported outcomes. I have also completed an MSc in Medical Education and am an instructor on the Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) course.
