About me
I am an experienced, accredited child and adolescent counsellor working with both young people and their families to over come a range of difficulties.
I first graduated from Homerton College Cambridge in 1996 with a BEd hons degree.
I then completed a psychology certificate at the Institute of Education
Having trained with NSPCC childline where I worked for 5 years.
I then gained my post graduate certificate in counselling children in schools in 2014 at ThePlace2be.
I have extensive experience working with children and young people and supporting their families.
I have worked in various schools including Harrow Boys school and Barnet Youth Centre.
At present I work as a school counsellor at St. Margaret's school in Hampstead and have my own private practice.
I work in an empathetic, sensitive manner using an integrative approach.
I am an accredited member of the BACP and work within their professional guidelines.
Areas of interest
I treat patients from age 10 years to 25 years old.
I use an integrative, person centred approach.
I can work both in a short term solution focused manner for six weekly sessions or in longer term work if needed.
I can also work along side parents to explore how best to support their teenagers.
Areas which I frequently support teenagers through include exam stress, social media pressures, family conflict, peer related issues, self harm, body image concerns and bereavement.
