About me

I am an experienced and professionally qualified cognitive behavioural therapist offering therapy for common emotional and mental health problems. I have 34 years experience in the NHS in mental health, originally qualifying as an Occupational therapist before then working in primary care - ie GP surgeries as a Psychological therapist and training and specialising in CBT. Whatever the difficulty that brings you to seek therapy I believe that CBT should be a journey, together with the therapist, to change things you are not happy with, to improve things that could be better for you and to reach a destination that makes a meaningful difference to your life. I work with people in a collaborative way to help them become better informed about their own mental health and problems and to learn to use CBT skills for themselves, long after therapy is finished.
