I have over 11 years experience within Ophthalmology, and have been a Consultant Ophthalmologist since September 2015.
My training took place in many Yorkshire eye units, including Leeds, Huddersfield/Halifax, Bradford, Hull, and York. As a result, I am familiar with the kinds of common eye issues that patients in Yorkshire tend to suffer from.
I am a firm believer in providing clear, jargon-free explanations and advice from the start, and will take the time necessary to do this, in addition to providing summaries in writing. I do this because I feel:
1. It is important for patients to know what may be wrong with them from the start.
2. It can be difficult to remember everything discussed in a consultation later on.
3. Patients should have all the information when having to make a decision as to which treatment option to choose.
