About me

About me
I am an accredited psychotherapist and a member of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). My core training is as an integrative therapist and I use a variety of approaches, working flexibly with an emphasis on creating a warm and non-judgemental relationship where you can freely express and explore your thoughts and feelings.

I work using an integrative model of counselling, this means I use my knowledge of various therapeutic models during our time together. Some of the models or approaches I use are Personal Centred, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focus, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and Motivational Interviewing among others. This gives me the freedom and flexibility to work in a way which best suits you as an individual. By working together in a safe, non-judgemental and secure environment we can examine what is concerning you and causes you distress.

Together we can build a therapeutic relationship where you can freely express and explore your thoughts and feelings and also we can identify and understand possible areas to look at more closely.

I support and work collaboratively with my clients. My approach is transparent. I will let you know what I am thinking about in our sessions. You will have an idea of what I am doing in the therapy as it is a two way working together. During our work, I will be listening to what is happening in your life, what would you wish would change, how you could be less stress and be happier. Together we will figure out how we can get you there. My aim is to assist you to see your life more clearly and to help you make choices and decisions.
