- Short Term Psychodynamic Therapy
I am a Clinical Psychologist with more than twenty years' experience of working in NHS Adult Mental Health. I left the NHS in 2016 after working for fourteen years in Consultant Clinical Psychologist posts. I now work in private practice.
I have experience of working with a wide range of presenting problems at all levels of complexity. My primary psychotherapeutic approach is psychodynamic but I have longstanding experience of other therapeutic models which I use as required.
If you decide that you would like to attend for a consultation, I will do my best to answer any question you may have. I will ask about your reasons for seeking help and also about your history/life experiences as this can help greatly in identifying the factors that may be relevant to current symptoms or difficulties. We would then consider if therapy could be helpful to you and if so, agree what the focus of the work might be and talk a bit about what it would involve.
