About me
Dr Caroline Champagne is a UK trained and GMC registered Consultant Dermatologist and hair specialist. She has had extensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of skin rashes, acne, eczema and psoriasis. She also manages skin cancers, moles and benign skin lesions. Caroline is one of the few Consultant Dermatologists with specialist expertise in hair and scalp disorders.
Caroline is aware of how difficult it can be to cope with and talk about skin and hair problems. She therefore always ensures plenty of time to discuss concerns and achieve a manageable treatment plan.
Dr Champagne studied Medicine and an intercalated BSc in Pharmacology at Bristol University. She undertook an MSc in Clinical Dermatology at The St Johns Institute of Dermatology in London and achieved a Distinction. She completed her Dermatology training in Oxford and also did a fellowship in hair and scalp disorders in Brighton. She became a Consultant in 2015 and works at Watford General Hospital, West Herts NHS Trust as both a general Dermatologist and hair specialist. She helped set up and is the lead Consultant for a Teledermatology service in West Herts NHS Trust. Dr Champagne also runs the hair and scalp disorders service at The Churchill Hospital in Oxford where she has been involved in a number of research projects related to alopecia.
Dr Champagne is a member of the British Association of Dermatologists (BAD), the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) and the British Hair and Nail Society (BHNS).
