About me

I worked towards independent practice in all aspects of general obstetrics and gynaecology as part of the training for CCT with more than 15 years experience in gynaecology. Following the initial medical training in India, I continued my training in London and the South East UK, working in large teaching hospitals such as Guys and St Thomas and The St Bartholomew Hospital. As I was passionate about caring for sub-fertile couples, I decided to sub - specialise in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery to develop expertise in fertility and assisted conception. I had training in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery as a Clinical research fellow at the Guys Assisted conception unit and later as ‘Sub-Specialty trainee’ at the RCOG accredited centre at St Bartholomew Hospital, London. The sub-specialty training provided extensive experience on modules of - Subfertility and assisted conception, Female reproductive endocrinology, Polycystic ovary syndrome, Paediatric and adolescent gynaecology, Contraception, Menopause and premature ovarian failure, Endometriosis, Reproductive minimal access surgery, Andrology, Early pregnancy problems and Gynaecological ultrasound scans including 3D ultrasound scans and early pregnancy scans. I have been working as a substantive consultant, at the St Bartholomew's Hospital London since April 2016. Within the field of Reproductive Medicine and Surgery, apart from managing couples with sub-fertility and providing assisted conception treatment, I have a special interest in managing women with peri-menopausal symptoms and premature menopause natural or following treatment for cancer or women carrying BRCA mutation who underwent prophylactic removal of ovaries.
I am a safe and independent practitioner in the field of Reproductive Medicine and as my career progressed I have increasingly taken leadership roles within the multidisciplinary setting. I enjoy very good relationship with my colleagues from different teams and I work with them effectively. I have been commended for my excellent communication skills and clinical acumen. These attributes have had a positive impact on my effectiveness as a doctor, both in terms of the patient consultation and in team-working and leadership. I am a hardworking clinician, dedicated to provide excellent care to the patients and treat them with dignity and respect. I consistently receive positive feedback from my patients and colleagues.
