About me

I’m a BACP accredited counsellor & psychotherapist working in Nottingham. I’ve experience of working in a specialist sexual violence service, within the NHS in a mental health setting as well as over 10 years working privately.

I offer therapy in a compassionate, caring and client-focused way. I work with people to help them gain understanding and to find more helpful and considered ways to manage their difficulties. There is no magic wand in therapy – it does take hard work but I will be that compassionate ally as you work through things.

I have extensive experience of working with a range of common mental health difficulties such as depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, work problems, life stage & change. I have both experience & training in working with trauma and understand the complexity of the impact and the nature of recovery. I can and do work both short and long term but if there is significant trauma then it is likely that the therapy will need to be a minimum of 20 sessions. However, this is something we can discuss when we meet. No-one need attend for any more sessions than they feel is appropriate.
