Training & background:
Mr Harrold qualified in Dundee in 2003 and undertook surgical training in Glasgow and Dundee before undertaking a specialist fellowship in complex surgery of the Foot & Ankle in Sheffield.
Mr Harrold has been a consultant orthopaedic surgeon since 2014 and is lead for the foot and ankle service in Dundee. He has a teaching and research role at Dundee University, one of the leading universities in Medical Education and biomedical research in the UK. He has had a key role in the development of patient related outcomes measures (PROMS), introduced to improve the quality of care provided to patients in Dundee.

Areas of interest

Mr Harrold undertakes an extensive range of foot & ankle surgery including trauma, management of post traumatic arthritis, complex deformity correction, diabetic and rheumatoid feet, forefoot correction (including bunions, lesser toe deformity and neuromas), ligament reconstruction and arthroscopic ankle and subtalar joint surgery.
