About me

My training and interest in spinal surgery started in 2007. After my Orthopaedic training in the East of England that included three years of spianl surgery. my Spinal Fellowship in The Royal devon & Exeter hospital expanded my expertsie and surgical skills.I was appointed as a Consultant Spinal Surgeon in 2011 at The Ipswich hospital. My practice has always been 100% adult spinal surgery. I have become increasingly involved in the management & political aspects of Musculoskeletal services & spinal surgery. This has included being Chair of the Committee responsible to give clinical advice on spinal services to NHS England since April 2019. I am also the Clinical Lead for the East of England Regional Spinal Network & support the cancer alliance as the Chair of the Metastatic Spinal cord Compression committee. I have sat on the Executive Committee of the UK Spinal Societies Board & have been the Secretary of the British Association of Spine Surgeons for the past three years.
