I am an experienced endocrinologist, widely recognised for my work in the fields of helping diabetic athletes, and in the care of pregnant women with diabetes. I have a special interest in the managment of thyroid disease.

In have clinical research with in the field diabetes and sports, with studies concern strategies to reduce dysglycaemia and improve performance with exercise in diabetes. I have funding for studies on optimizing CSII therapy during and following exercise.
I have a key interest in undergraduate education, and am Associate Director of Clinical Studies and Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer, University of Oxford Medical School.
