About me

I have worked as a Consultant Urological Surgeon over 25 years. I qualified from St Mary's Hospital, London in 1983 and subsequently trained in general surgery, renal transplantation and urology in London and Bristol, finally becoming a consultant in 1994. I have a career long interest in prostate disease, including prostate cancer. I have a Master of Surgery (MS) relating to prostate cancer research and have published a large number of peer reviewed paper on a range of urology topics. I have written / co-written books of urological interest.

I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and previously a long term member of the British Association of Urological Surgeons (including Division of Oncology). I am also a member of Mensa.
Over the years, I have served as MRCS examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh), regional training program director for urological training (East Anglia), was as an undergraduate examiner for both Cambridge and London Universities, acted as college rep for the Royal College of Surgeons (England) and alsoworked for national bodies such as NICE.   I continue as an Urology Advisor the UK Health Service Ombudsman.

Incontinence (urine); Prostate disease including prostate cancer; Penile disorders; Penile surgery; I undertake a high volume of Vasectomy Reversal procedures yearly.
