I'm Marisa, a highly qualified, accredited and experienced therapist.
I'm based at the Elland Wellbeing Centre, a comfortable and relaxed safe space with parking available.
I have both a degree in Psychology and a post-graduate diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I am an accredited, registered member of the BACP.
Sessions with me
I offer one to one counselling, on a short or long term basis. On average a patient will need 6-8 sessions.
I work with adults, children and young people.
I treat most presenting concerns such as depression, relationship issues, anxiety, self-esteem, abuse (recent or historic), bereavement, anger issues and work stress.
I enjoy helping people to free themselves from their problems, reach their potential and become the person they were meant to be, or used to be!!
I advocate the person-centered approach over labelling 'disorders' and prescribing medications.
I ask 'what happened to you?' not 'what's wrong with you?'.
It's important that my clients feel comfortable with myself to move forward and reach their goals.
If you would like to discuss the counselling I offer please email or call me.
