About me

I am a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon within Barts and The London NHS Trust and have a personal chair in surgical oncology at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry.

Working closely with Professor Andrew Silver (head of the colorectal cancer genetics group at ICMS), my research focuses on improving the prognostic stratification of colorectal cancer patients following surgery and the immunology of differing colorectal cancer phenotypes. I am a well established postgraduate trainer in pelvic surgery and am jointly responsible for delineating the new undergraduate surgical curriculum for 2008.
