About me

I am a consultant medical oncologist specialising in the medical treatment of breast cancer. I specialise in the treatment of early and advanced breast cancer using chemotherapies, hormonal therapies and targeted drugs.
I graduated in medicine with honours from the Cardiff University in 1998, having also gained a degree in Biochemistry from Oxford University. I went on to train in Clinical Oncology and Medical Oncology and am dually accredited in both specialities. I completed a PhD in 2011 which was based in the deployment of a new treatment approach for an inherited tumour predisposition syndrome.

In 2014 I took up my current post NHS medical oncology consultant specialising in the medical treatment of breast cancer at the South West Wales Cancer Centre. I have a particular interest in managing inherited tumour predisposition syndromes and on the application of genetic testing in cancer medicine. In addition to my clinical work I conduct research focusing on developing targeted treatments for cancer.
