About me

I am a Consultant General Surgeon with a specialist interest in gastrointestinal and laparoscopic surgery as well as endoscopy. I qualified in 2000 from Guy's and St.Thomas' Hospitals Medical School with prizes and distinctions and trained in General Surgery with sub specialisation in Laparoscopic Gastrointestinal Surgery on the North Thames Higher Surgical Rotation. I have worked as a Consultant over the last few years in various teaching hospitals and district general hospitals and more recently at the North East London NHS Treatment Centre since 2016.

I have a large practice in day case procedures including gallbladder and hernia surgery as well as proctology and endoscopies. Over the last 12 months, I have performed around 1200 day case procedures with same-day discharges.

I am well supported by a team of specialists at the local NHS trusts and offer a very quick turnaround from consultation to completed treatment. I also provide non-surgical options as well as multiple surgical options tailored to each patient. I aim to provide the best possible outcome at each step with my outcomes audited on a regular basis.

My practice is currently split between the BMI London Independent Hospital and the North East London NHS Treatment Centre and offer private patients clinic appointments on Monday mornings, Friday mornings and Saturday mornings.

For more information please contact my PA directly on 08005668444 or via email at pphalim@outlook.com.
