I am a colorectal surgeon in Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.
I frequently treat patients who are having bowel problems after childbirth or surgery for conditions such as cancer. This may be difficulty controlling bowels, bowel accidents or difficulty going to the toilet.
I trained in Cardiff, before working in London, where I completed my research MD in Imperial College, focusing on the outcomes after pelvic surgery in women. After completing my surgical training, I worked in Oxford, where I completed a specialist fellowship in pelvic floor surgery.
I have research interests in anterior resection syndromes (bowel dysfunction after rectal cancer surgery) with international and national presentations and publications.
Areas of interest
Colorectal Cancer; pelvic floor; rectal prolapse; faecal incontinence; constipation; bowel dysfunction; Haemorrhoids
