Mr Ewan Bigsby is an orthopaedic surgeon with an interest in upper limb surgery. He treats both sports and degenerative conditions affecting the soft tissues and joints of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand. He has an interest in teaching and training, and has completed a Masters degree in Medical Education at Bristol University. He also has a PhD and continues his research interests, publishing regularly on all aspects of trauma and orthopaedics, including shoulder and elbow replacement surgery.

Having published on a variety of aspects of general trauma, as well as shoulder and elbow replacement surgery, Mr Bigsby continues his interest in research, particularly focusing on the upper limb.
He is currently involved in research examining the outcomes after arthroscopic shoulder surgery, as well as investigating how to improve the recovery following shoulder replacement surgery.
