About me

I offer a professional psychological therapeutic service to adults aged 18+, supporting the mental health needs and wellbeing of patients.

Signs and Symptoms?
You might have a lot going on for you right now. You may be experiencing low mood, depression, increased anxiety, stress, worry, uncertainty, fear. You may have noticed: a loss of interest in, once pleasurable, activities; that you are avoiding social contact; experiencing sleep disturbance; loss of appetite or overeating. You may be finding it difficult to concentrate, to cope emotionally, mentally or physically. You may be coping through self-harming behaviour, or have suicidal thoughts, feeling it would be better if you were not here.

There may be growing bodily tension, a restlessness, slump, numbness or agitation. You may have withdrawn into yourself and feel alone and isolated.

Whatever emotions you might be experiencing, my belief is that signs and symptoms may be indicative of a deeper disturbance. Having someone come alongside can sometimes help to make sense of our experiences.

Does talking help?
You may be wondering whether talking about concerns and distresses really make a difference? Whether exploring how you feel, personally or in your relationships, matter in the big scheme of things.

Counselling and Psychotherapy
Therapy is a reflective, safe, non-judgemental space for exploring difficulties, distress, concerns, questions, uncertainties. The process enables wants and needs to be expressed. By working at relational depth, we can increase awareness of the self, and understand better our “self in relationship” needs. The process can foster greater choice and support us in moving forward with (and in) our lives.

Why contact me?
I am here to support you in working through whatever may be contributing to your emotional pain and distress at this time. I recognise the importance of addressing the overlap of physical and mental health problems.

I invite you to contact me also if you have had previous counselling/psychotherapy and want to do some further work.
