About me

I graduated in medicine with a University gold medal and took postgraduate training and attained Fellowship in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from CPSP, Pakistan. In the UK, I completed my training in general Obstetrics and Gynaecology in London. I am the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) accredited Sub-Specialist in Reproductive Medicine & Surgery which involved 3 years of additional extensive training in the management of infertility, Assisted Reproduction treatments (IVF, ICSI), Reproductive endocrinology and Reproductive surgery. I am one of the small number of consultants in the UK with dual accreditation in both general Obstetrics & Gynaecology as well as in Reproductive Medicine & Surgery. With my strong background of training and expertise, I ensure a comprehensive and thorough approach to manage general gynaecology and both male and female infertility issues
I provide expert help to the couple’s difficulty in conceiving a baby, diagnostic ultrasound scanning/tubal patency testing, and management of menstrual irregularities, pelvic pain, polycystic ovarian syndrome, recurrent miscarriage and menopausal symptoms
As a RCOG certified specialist in Reproductive Surgery, I am an expert in surgically repairing and reopening of the blocked fallopian tubes to help to achieve a natural conception. With my surgical expertise.

I am an expert minimal access( keyhole surgeries) surgeon I am able to provide surgical management of complex benign gynaecology conditions like, heavy & painful menstrual cycle, pelvic pain and endometriosis, fibroids uterus,polycystic ovarian syndrome . I perform laparoscopic (keyhole) hysterectomy and hysteroscopic surgeries for submucosal fibroids and uterine septum resections.


I hold a master degree in Reproductive Medicine with Distinction from Bristol University. My research in Gynaecology and Reproductive Medicine led to several national/international presentations and publications in reputable journals. I still continue to undertake research and I am actively involved in teaching and training of both postgraduate and undergraduate medical students at local and national levels. I am a RCOG & BFS recognised trainer for advance training in management of infertility, assisted reproduction, ultrasound training, male infertility and embryo transfer. My active involvement in research and training ensures that my patients receive the most up-to-date care

I am a consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in Southend University Hospital with lead roles for infertility, minimal access surgical (Key hole) services and clinical audit
