I specialise in planned and trauma surgery of the upper limb.
I completed my Higher Orthopaedic training in the South East Thames rotation. Then I sought fellowship level training in upper limb surgery.
I first went to Australia to the Perth Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Centre for a sports orthopaedic fellowship.
I then completed the prestigious St George's Upper Limb Fellowship in London
Finally I was the Hand Fellow at Guy's and St Thomas' in London.
This has enabled me to become expert in arthroscopic and open surgery of the shoulder and elbow including rotator cuff repairs and stabilisations. Plus shoulder and elbow joint replacement surgery.
I have obtained a Masters degree in Trauma and Orthopaedics through the University of Brighton and a Postgraduate Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine through the University of Bath.
I have published book chapters, scientific articles and have presented at national and international meetings.
Areas of interest
Arthroscopic and open shoulder and elbow surgery.

I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery at Airedale General Hospital.
My main passion is Rugby Union. I enjoy watching rugby now, but played to a high amateur standard for over 20 years.
Since I retired from rugby I have kept fit by mountain biking and road cycling.
I am a keen SCUBA diver, and hold a PADI dive master certification.
I also enjoy watching all forms of motorsport.
I decided to combine my love for sport and medicine by undertaking the University of Bath’s Sport and Exercise Medicine postgraduate diploma.
