About me
Dr Manjusha Rathi is a Consultant Physician in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Lipid Metabolism at Sandwell & West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust.
She has completed her postgraduate training in Endocrinology & Diabetes at the Yorkshire Deanery, Leeds.
She has worked as Consultant physician in Endocrinology & Diabetes at King’s Mill Hospital, Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS trust, Sutton-in- Ashfield Sept 2010 - Sept 2019.
She also holds honorary contract with Nottingham University Hospitals NHS trust.
She has been Clinical Governance lead for 5 years followed by Service lead for department of diabetes and endocrinology for 2 years at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS trust.
She has been actively involved in improving clinical services and has been clinical lead for Pituitary service, Antenatal diabetes & Antenatal endocrinology Service at SFH.
Dr Rathi has been instrumental in service development of various sub-specialist areas in diabetes and endocrinology.
Dr Rathi is actively involved in training / teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate students and is a Royal College of Physicians accredited examiner for the MRCP (UK) PACES clinical examination.
She is actively involved in audit and research projects, and regularly publishes papers in peer reviewed scientific journals.

Endocrinology:
Pituitary disease ( Acromegaly, Cushing’s disease, Prolactin problems, diabetes insipidus, Growth Hormone replacement);
Thyroid Disorders;
Adrenal Disorders including Addison’s disease;
Reproductive Endocrinology (Endocrine causes of infertility), Hypogonadism (Testosterone Replacement Therapy), Erectile dysfunctions, Loss of libido, hormonal causes of menstrual irregularities;
Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, Hormone Replacement Therapy. Excessive facial hair, Excessive sweating, Endocrine causes of weight gain and weight loss,
Endocrine causes of Fatigue and Tiredness, Endocrine causes of electrolyte imbalance.
Diabetes:
Management of complex diabetes, diabetes Kidney disease, neuropathy, erratic blood sugar management, diabetes education on self management of Insulin therapy, hypoglycaemia management, Insulin pump therapy.
Lipids:
High Cholesterol, including familial hyperlipidaemia.
Osteoporosis & bone metabolism including Parathyroid (calcium) disorder
