About me

I am an Integrative Psychotherapist and an EMDR therapist accredited by the BACP and approved by EMDR Europe respectively.

I specialise in working with adult survivors of childhood abuse and domestic abuse. I work sensitively and empathically to support you to better understand the root of your worries. I do this by integrating different theories and approaches according to your needs.

Essentially together we will look back to see what has been happening in your life, to identify why you might be thinking, feeling and behaving the way you do now. We will work on how to adapt these patterns to move forward. The moving forward bit is key. Therapy can help you to make sense of things so you can move forward, be free from those underlying worries and live a more fulfilled life.

It's important that you find the right therapist - I am happy to meet with you free of charge for a 30 minute chat (either face to face or over the phone) to discuss what might be worrying you and an opportunity for you to hear more about how therapy works.

Sessions are 50 - 60 minutes and usually weekly but can be arranged to suit your needs. I am based in Ilkeston, Derbyshire.
