Dr.Mahida is a consultant cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist based at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital. He specializes in management of heart rhythm disorders and complex catheter ablation procedures, including procedures for treatment of atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia and supraventricular tachycardia. He is the departmental lead for the ventricular arrhythmia service.
Dr.Mahida manages all forms of heart rhythm disturbances. He has extensive experience in management of atrial fibrillation, including catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation.
Dr.Mahida developed expertise in catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation at a number of internationally recognized centres of excellence including Hôpital Haut-Lévêque in Bordeaux and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, which is a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School. Dr.Mahida also undertook postdoctoral research at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School.
Dr.Mahida has published widely on complex ablation technologies and has led a number of multicentre research studies on latest ablation technologies. His areas of research include complex catheter ablation of atrial and ventricular arrhythmias.
Dr Mahida sees private patients at Spire Liverpool Hospital and Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital.
