About me

I am a consultant cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist based at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, which is the largest specialist heart hospital in the UK. I manage all types of heart problems, with specific expertise in treatment of heart rhythm disturbances (arrhythmia) including heart palpitations, atrial fibrillation, ectopic beats, fast heart beats, syncope (fainting), supraventricular tachycardia, and ventricular tachycardia.

I offer all options for treatment of heart rhythm disturbances, which includes treatment with medications or performing procedures (catheter ablation) to cure heart rhythm disturbances.

I undertook advanced specialization in heart rhythm management at centres that are widely regarded as being the best in the world. I spent three years in the Harvard system in Boston, USA where he had an opportunity to work with world leading heart rhythm specialists. I also trained as an atrial fibrillation specialist at the world renowned Hospital Haut Leveque, Bordeaux, where the first curative ablation for atrial fibrillation worldwide was performed.

I currently train consultant electrophysiologists from specialist arrhythmia centres around the UK and Europe on advanced ablation techniques to cure heart rhythm problems. I am the Chief Investigator for a UK multicentre research study and have more than 100 research publications and presentations on treatment of heart rhythm disorders.

My philosophy is centered on delivering the highest level of personalised care for every patient.
