About me

The Coronavirus is dramatically changing lives. If you or your family member is being effected it is important to seek professional help. It can cause mental, emotional, physical, spiritual and financial fears and worries.

If you are isolated, lonely, anxious, stressed or having panic attacks, forced to work from home, fear of losing your job, have been quarantined or lost someone. Or even questioning why, what's going to happen or have family, friends and colleagues effected by the Coronavirus.

I understand this is a very challenging, confusing and difficult time and I can help you to talk in a safe, supporting environment to overcome symptoms and understand and manage the changes that are happening out of your control.

I offer Skype, Phone and Face-time sessions, it is important to take control, manage your stress and talk about what you are going through.

I am a fully qualified and accredited Counselling-Psychotherapist, Neuro-Linguistic Practitioner (NLP) and Coach. I have over 19 years clinical experience working with adults. Over the past 10 years there has been a rapid increase in the number of children and young people that are coming to my practice for therapy. In addition to working with adults and couples, I am greatly honoured to be working with children and young people because they learn quickly, and change is fast and empowering - hence the results are profound and life-long tools they take into the future.

Within my practice there is a significant difference working with children and adults that come from private and boarding schools. This is an addition to the problems many young people suffer resulting from social-media, relationship problems, transitional issues, anger management, bullying, suicidal, self harming and behavioural issues including developmental and learning difficulties. Some children as young as 4 experience pressure to attend the ‘best school', and need to sit for tests and assessments under extreme pressure - especially the 11+. This adds significant stress and anxieties to achieve excellence and when they don’t the belief is that they are 'not good enough' can be instilled for the rest of their lives. More recently young people by the time they are in Year 8/9 experience a burn-out and act out in many different ways.

I work within the guidelines of my professional bodies; and within the NICE guidelines. I am in private practice and previously worked as volunteer counsellor for 5 years at the Terrence Higgins Trust with a further 10 years at a private GP medical centre. This has given in me a wide range of proven clinical and hands-on experience of different people’s backgrounds, cultures and religions, covering a multitude of mental, emotional, physical, behaviours and; life concerns that can adversely impact anyone at any stage of their life and bring disharmony to their health and wellbeing.

My work is goal-focused and result orientated, and have a holistic approach within the remits of my clients needs for short to long-term therapy. My work is monitored, measurable and focused on change. I support each person as an individual, as everyone is unique and needs specific help, support and understanding. I believe no one person or therapy is the same, or can fit into a text book. My sessions allow you to learn effectively, apply practical techniques and strategies that can be implemented easily into daily life enabling you to take control of not just the unwanted mental, emotional behaviours, but also your physical symptoms and overcome life situations that brings you to therapy.

I am also an approved provider for other health insurance companies including: PPP AXA, AVIVA, CS Healthcare, SIMPLY HEALTH, Exeter Family Friendly, Standard Life, CIGNA, Vitality, WPA, Groupama, and Healix.
