Claire has been working in obstetrics and gynaecology since 2004. During her training she became particularly interested in managing vulval conditions and chose to sub-specialise in this area. She now runs a specialist vulval clinic at Birmingham City Hospital that takes referrals from accross the West Midlands and beyond. Claire has trained in psychosexual medicine and is a member of the Institiute of Psychosexual Medicine. She sits as a council member for the British Society for the Study of Vulval Disease.
Claire's other area of specialism is colposcopy and she is the Lead Colposcopist for Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust. She manages abnormal smear test results and problematic post-coital bleeding.
When not at work, Claire enjoys being outdoors with her family and taking their vintage VW campervan for weekends away.
