About me

I am qualified and experienced Psychotherapist and Counsellor, and have been offering a confidential, caring and professional service in Cambridge for over 22 years.

I believe in the capacity of the human spirit to heal, develop and grow and this philosophy enables me learn from all my experiences; to grow, develop and enrich my life. This belief, coupled with my training and experience, underpins my clinical work.

If you are feeling stuck; find yourself repeating patterns; feeling confused; lacking a sense of direction or needing an emotional sounding board, then counselling or psychotherapy can be of enormous benefit. The process of therapy can help to make sense of your feelings, heal emotional wounds of the past, to help clarify your thoughts, to make sense of yourself and your place in the world and how you interrelate to others around you and much more. I can help with many underlying causes of emotional pain, anxiety, depression and challenging life situations.

My approach is integrative, which means I draw on several different theoretical approaches to support my work. I also work in a client centred (or humanistic) way which means that I work differently with everyone because each person and their needs and experiences are unique.

My most recent training (integrative) was an MA in Psychotherapy and Counselling at Regent’s College in London. My initial training was psychodynamic with the CCC (Cambridgeshire Consultancy in Counselling). I have also undertaken brief work training and each year I undertake Continuing Professional Development.

I am an accredited member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). I am also an accredited member of the CCC (Cambridgeshire Consultancy in Counselling).

I have experience and knowledge of the 12 step programme of recovery. I have also been trained and have worked with a National Bereavement Support Charity.

I am fully insured and have an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
