About me

Sarah is a Chartered Counselling Psychologist who has considerable experience in assessing and treating a wide range of psychological difficulties across the lifespan. She draws on various therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Systemic models and EMDR. Sarah has a particular interest in working with children and adolescents and their families.

Sarah graduated in Psychology from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2003. She proceeded to do a Postgraduate Certificate of Education and taught in a primary school in London. She later undertook an MSc and a Post MSc Diploma in Counselling Psychology, leading to Chartered Status in 2003.

Sarah has worked across a range of NHS settings including a service for Traumatic Stress, Adult and Child Learning Disability Community and Inpatient teams as well as Autistic Spectrum Disorder Assessment Services. Her experience also includes teaching on postgraduate psychology courses and delivering staff training to NHS and Social Services staff on a wide range of clinical issues.
