Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust
It is now well recognised that institutions that engage in research achieve better outcomes for their patients. I engage in national research and audit projects in order to achieve the very best outcomes for my patients.
My research at The Nuffield Department of Surgery in Oxford led to the award of an MD higher degree and won two international prizes. This research investigated the field of regenerative medicine, where replacement tissue is grown to treat previously incurable or irreversible illnesses.
My current breast research interests include mastectomy and reconstruction and how to optimise outcomes.
