About me

As a Counsellor who has been qualified and practicing for 13 years, I have achieved accredited membership of the BACP. This means that it has been recognised that I am a professional who has achieved high standards of knowledge, experience and development and is a guide to help clients to make an informed decision when choosing a therapist. By attending regular training, self-development and supervision activities I am updating my skills regularly. I then integrate these skills within my practice.

My experience has been gained by working with adults, young people and children in many different settings, including work place wellbeing companies, Insurance Companies, Changing Lives and Doncaster Mind where I have gained an extensive knowledge of domestic abuse, childhood and adult sexual abuse, confidence and low self esteem, bereavement and loss issues. I also work as a school counsellor.

My aim is to provide a private space so that we can both work together to reach your goals. The ethical framework I work within means quality standards for good practice are ensured so you receive the best service. In my experience counselling can help you to find your own answer to your issues including:-

· Learning new ways to cope with stress, anxiety and depression

· Managing anger

· Becoming more assertive

· Feeling more self confident

· Improving your communication skills

· Understand more about loss and bereavement

· Turning negative thinking patterns into positive ones

· Better able to trust your own judgment

· Have a greater understanding of yourself and what your goals are.

My work with children and young people involves creating an informal, relaxed, safe place to explore issues and feelings that have a negative effect on behaviours and I offer talking therapies or other creative methods such as art or play.

If you are feeling stressed, anxious or depressed and are looking for someone to talk to about your issues, I offer a free initial chat by phone to answer any questions you may have. I offer appointments during the daytime and evening and I work from a Therapy room that is easily accessible from Doncaster town centre. There is disabled access, parking available outside the centre and a regular bus service.

The first meeting is a no obligation assessment for you to think about whether you are ready to explore your issue and what you would like to achieve in counselling, as well as finding out if I am the right person for you to work with.

If negative thoughts are holding you back and you want to make a positive change, call me on 07969 427502 or email me at and I will endeavour to contact you within 24 hours.
