Dr Evangelos Russo completed his medical training at University College London in 2003. Until 2008 he undertook general medical training. In 2008 he joined the north west Thames rotation as a Registrar in Gastroenterology where he remained until 2016. During that time he also completed a PhD in Translational Medicine at Imperial College with a focus on imaging in Crohn’s disease.
He was appointed Consultant Gastroenterologist at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in January 2017.
Dr Russo has a strong research interest in inflammatory bowel disease.
