About me

My special interests include cosmetic facial surgery, facial deformity surgery and skin cancer surgery
I qualified in medicine at the National University of Ireland in Galway and straight afterwards qualified in dentistry at University College Cork in Ireland. I completed basic surgical training in the Severn Deanery and Specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Training in the Wessex Deanery. I completed the national training interface fellowship before commencing a position as consultant in OMFS at RUH. I completed international fellowships in facial deformity at Bruges, Belgium and in advanced rhinoplasty surgery at the University of Illinois, Chicago. I have published numerous papers and chapters in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, international textbooks and presented extensively worldwide receiving national awards for my research. I am active in multiple charities and have participated in numerous surgical charity workshops in developing countries.

I am married to Alicja and have two children, Helena and Stefan. Outside work my interests are family and various sports and music which include rowing and piano.

I was an international oarsman and won a Commonwealth Gold Medal amongst many other titles. I am still active in rowing and won gold at the World Rowing Masters Championships in Copenhagen for Bath recently and gold at the Henley Masters Royal Regatta last year
